Happy Chinese New Year 2015

Wishing all my Chinese Friends and associates around the world a Happy and Prosperous New Year (Year of the Goat) this February 19. It is wonderful to be among family and friends to usher in the New Year.

Happy Chinese New Year 2015
It is a special feeling to be home with your family. There is nothing like family and that is why your annual dinner on the eve of the New Year has so much meaning. It is also an opportunity to pay your respect to your elders.

Statistics show the Year of the Goat is good for business.

Interestingly, the Year of the Goat has traditionally brought strong returns for investors. It has been noted by David Rosenberg, a leading Canadian economist, that the goat years historically correspond with index rises.

The S&P 500 total index rises 26% on average in the goat years, followed by the pig years at 20%. Indeed the Russell 2000 climbs 42% in goat years, while the S&P/TSX composite index rises 16%. As for commodities, gold jumps an average of 45% and oil gains 20%.

Are you 53 or 54 years old?

The goat is perceived as good and wise. If you run your own business, and you were born in any Year of the Goat (Wood, Fire, Earth, Gold or Water Goat) you are predicted to have a good year ahead of you.

Happy Chinese New Year 2015
If you were born in the previous Year of the Wood Goat, 1955, you may well be amicable, intelligent, gentle and compassionate with a creative streak and cautious in business.

Good luck, and enjoy your year!

Cheers.
